Ipsen agreed to acquire Swiss biotech Memo Therapeutics AG under a definitive share purchase agreement, adding potravitug, a Phase 2 first-in-class monoclonal antibody against BK polyomavirus (BKPyV). Terms: EUR200 million upfront and up to EUR500 million in milestones (total potential consideration exceeding EUR700 million / ~$797M). Potravitug targets BK polyomavirus-associated nephropathy (BKPyVAN), a serious complication in kidney-transplant recipients with no approved therapy. The all-cash transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026.
