Sanofi acquired Austrian biotech Origimm Biotechnology GmbH (Vienna; seller Sanja Selak) for up to EUR 150 million (EUR 55M upfront plus up to EUR 95M in development and regulatory milestones); the deal completed on Dec 3, 2021. The acquisition added ORI-001 (later ORI-A-ce001 / ORG101), a recombinant-protein therapeutic vaccine targeting Cutibacterium acnes surface antigens, advanced alongside Sanofi's mRNA Center of Excellence.
