Sanofi and Translate Bio entered a collaboration and exclusive license to develop mRNA vaccines for infectious diseases. Translate Bio received upfront payments and was eligible for development and commercial milestones totaling up to $805M. The partnership was expanded in 2020 to broadly address infectious diseases. Sanofi subsequently acquired Translate Bio for $3.2B in August 2021.
