Underwhelmed — fell short of the thesis.

Sanofi acquired Dutch clinical-stage biotech Kiadis Pharma in an all-cash tender offer (EUR 5.45/share, ~EUR 308M / ~$359M; ~272% premium) announced Nov 2, 2020 and completed April 16, 2021, to gain Kiadis's proprietary off-the-shelf (allogeneic) K-NK natural-killer cell therapy platform. The lead program K-NK002 was in a Phase 2 study (NK-REALM, NCT04395092) to prevent post-transplant relapse in AML/MDS. POST-CLOSE OUTCOME: the platform bet did not pan out — the NK-REALM Phase 2 trial was withdrawn and K-NK002 is listed as discontinued, and Sanofi subsequently wound down the acquired Kiadis NK-cell division as part of a broader pipeline reprioritization away from oncology toward immunology. Sanofi has since pursued NK-cell engagers via its separate Innate Pharma ANKET collaboration rather than the Kiadis cell-therapy platform.
