B-cell mediated autoimmune diseases encompass a heterogeneous group including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), multiple sclerosis (MS), myasthenia gravis, pemphigus vulgaris, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, systemic sclerosis, and ANCA-associated vasculitis. These disorders arise from pathogenic B cells producing autoantibodies, presenting antigens to T cells, and secreting pro-inflammatory cytokines that perpetuate chronic inflammation and tissue damage. Aggregate US prevalence across classic B-cell autoimmune diseases exceeds 2.5 million patients and continues to grow with improved diagnostic awareness.
