Sosei Heptares and Eli Lilly entered a multi-target collaboration and license agreement in diabetes and metabolic diseases leveraging Sosei's GPCR-focused StaR/SBDD platform. Sosei received $37M upfront with up to $694M in development and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties on global sales. Since signing, the collaboration has advanced: now-renamed Nxera Pharma (formerly Sosei Heptares) achieved a first development milestone (announced 1 June 2025, undisclosed payment, expected Q3 FY2025) and a second development milestone (announced 8 April 2026, undisclosed payment), both validating its NxWave (formerly StaR/SBDD) GPCR structure-based platform against the metabolic targets. Lilly leads development and commercialization; Nxera remains eligible for up to $694M in remaining development and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties. The collaboration is active and progressing as of June 2026.
