AstraZeneca acquired TeneoTwo in October 2022 (closed 17 Oct 2022) for $100M upfront plus up to $1.165B in milestones (total up to ~$1.265B), gaining the Phase 1 CD19xCD3 bispecific T-cell engager TNB-486 for relapsed/refractory B-cell malignancies. Post-close the asset has advanced markedly: it received the INN surovatamig (AZD0486) and AstraZeneca moved it directly from Phase 1 into two Phase 3 pivotal programs. SOUNDTRACK-F1 (NCT06549595, Phase III, recruiting, started Aug 2024) tests surovatamig plus rituximab versus chemoimmunotherapy plus rituximab in previously untreated follicular lymphoma; a second Phase 3 (SOUNDTRACK-D2) evaluates surovatamig with R-mini-CHOP in large B-cell lymphoma. Phase 1 follicular-lymphoma data (ASH 2024) showed a 96% overall response rate and 85% complete response at doses >=2.4 mg with predominantly low-grade cytokine release syndrome, and R/R DLBCL data (ASCO/ASH 2025) showed high MRD-negative complete responses including after prior CD20 TCE and CD19 CAR-T. The deal thesis has strengthened: AstraZeneca's bispecific bet is now a late-stage, potentially first-in-class CD19xCD3 program in B-cell lymphoma.
