Adaptimmune Therapeutics entered a definitive asset purchase agreement to sell its cell-therapy portfolio - TECELRA (afamitresgene autoleucel), lete-cel, afami-cel and uza-cel - to US WorldMeds for $55 million in cash at closing plus up to $30 million in performance-based commercial and regulatory milestone payments. Adaptimmune retained its preclinical PRAME- and CD70-directed T-cell therapies and its allogeneic pipeline, and agreed to provide transition services through June 2026. Approximately half of Adaptimmune's US-based workforce was offered roles at US WorldMeds. The transaction closed on 2025-08-04.
