Roche Holding AG / Simcere Zaiming Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

2026 · Licensing/Option · $1.5B · Complete

Simcere Zaiming, the oncology-focused subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, granted Roche an exclusive global license to develop, manufacture and commercialize SIM0660, a preclinical tri-specific antibody targeting CD79a, CD19 and CD3. Roche pays $75 million upfront, with Simcere Zaiming eligible for up to $1.530 billion in total payments including milestones, plus tiered royalties of up to double digits on future net sales. The dual B-cell targeting of CD79a and CD19 is intended to preserve activity in patients previously treated with CD20- or CD19-directed therapies and to broaden potential use across B-cell-mediated diseases including autoimmune indications. The transaction adds to the run of China-originated asset in-licensing by large-cap pharma in 2026.

This deal is too recent to grade. Critic Score and Outcome Score are assigned after the announcement-week coverage settles and, for Outcome, after the 5-year post-close assessment window opens — expected 2031 at the earliest for this deal, once/if it closes.
