Atavistik Bio entered a strategic research collaboration with Roche to discover and develop novel small-molecule therapeutics against multiple cardiovascular, renal and metabolic (CVRM) targets. Atavistik leads discovery and research using its AMPS platform, which identifies novel functional binding pockets to enable allosteric small molecules against historically hard-to-modulate targets; Roche is responsible for further preclinical, clinical and commercialization activities. Atavistik receives USD 70 million upfront and is eligible for up to USD 1.9 billion in research, development and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties.
