Lantheus acquired global rights from Life Molecular Imaging to the RM2 radiotheranostic pair targeting gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR), comprising the 177Lu-DOTA-RM2 radiotherapeutic and the 68Ga-DOTA-RM2 radiodiagnostic. Lantheus paid USD 35 million upfront plus undisclosed regulatory milestones and royalties, and stated it intends to initiate a Phase 1/2a study of 177Lu-DOTA-RM2 in prostate cancer in 2025 as an option for patients for whom PSMA-targeted therapy may be unsuitable.
