Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. / Corstasis Therapeutics, Inc.

2026 · Acquisition/Merger · $255M · Complete

Esperion Therapeutics entered a definitive agreement to acquire Corstasis Therapeutics, adding Enbumyst (bumetanide nasal spray) to its cardiovascular franchise. Enbumyst was approved by the FDA in September 2025 as the first and only nasal spray diuretic, indicated for edema associated with congestive heart failure and with hepatic and renal disease in adults. Terms: $75 million upfront in cash, up to $180 million in commercial and regulatory milestone payments, plus royalties on worldwide Enbumyst sales. Esperion financed the transaction through existing credit facilities and monetization of its Japanese royalties with funds managed by Athyrium Capital Management and HealthCare Royalty. The deal was announced 3 March 2026 and subsequently closed.

This deal is too recent to grade. Critic Score and Outcome Score are assigned after the announcement-week coverage settles and, for Outcome, after the 5-year post-close assessment window opens — expected 2031 at the earliest for this deal, once/if it closes.
