Boehringer Ingelheim licensed a first-in-class preclinical antibody program from Immunitas Therapeutics for chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Boehringer obtains worldwide rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize the program; Immunitas receives an undisclosed upfront payment and is eligible for near-term, development, regulatory and commercial milestones totaling up to EUR 407.5 million plus tiered royalties on future sales. The antibody is designed to selectively target pathogenic cells with the aim of deeper and more durable disease control than current therapies. The USD equivalent of the milestone total was not disclosed by the parties.
