Envisagenics and Boehringer Ingelheim entered a multi-year research collaboration and option agreement to validate selected tumor-specific targets derived from alternative RNA splicing, for first-in-class precision therapies in solid tumors. Envisagenics is eligible for more than US$1 billion in potential payments including an undisclosed upfront, research funding, option fees, and development, regulatory and commercial milestones, plus royalties on resulting product sales. The collaboration centers on the AI-powered SpliceCore platform and will evaluate targets across antibody-drug conjugates, T-cell engagers and multispecific antibodies. On successful completion of the research program, Boehringer Ingelheim holds an option to exclusively license selected targets for development and commercialization.
