AstraZeneca licensed exclusive rights to develop, manufacture and commercialise TQC3721, an investigational inhaled dual PDE3/4 inhibitor, outside China from Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group, a subsidiary of Sino Biopharmaceutical. Sino Biopharmaceutical receives a USD 200 million upfront payment plus development, regulatory and sales milestones taking total potential consideration to USD 1.9 billion, along with tiered royalties reaching up to double-digit percentages of annual net sales. The agreement also covers certain future development programmes on an exclusive worldwide basis. It is Sino Biopharmaceutical's second out-licensing transaction with a multinational in 2026.
