Pharma BD Deal Intelligence
On October 13, 2026 Agilent Technologies agreed to acquire Proscia, a digital pathology software provider, for $240 million in cash at closing plus up to an additional $30 million contingent on future performance milestones. Proscia's Concentriq platform acts as an operating system for digital pathology - connecting imaging systems, laboratory data platforms, analytical applications and AI instruments in one workflow environment - and holds FDA 510(k) clearance for primary diagnosis. It is used by more than 4,000 laboratories, hospitals and clinics and by 16 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies, and generated more than $18 million in trailing-twelve-month revenue. The deal pairs Agilent's pathology instruments and reagents with the software interpretation layer, building on a multi-year distribution agreement between the two companies. Closing is expected early in Agilent's fiscal year 2027, subject to customary conditions.
