Samsung Bioepis and Teva entered a global license, development and commercialization agreement on October 1, 2026 covering up to six potential biosimilar candidates. Two programs are confirmed at signing: SB41, a biosimilar candidate referencing Fasenra (benralizumab), and SB44, a biosimilar candidate referencing Ilaris (canakinumab), with four additional candidates available under option. Samsung Bioepis is responsible for development, regulatory registration and manufacture, while Teva is responsible for commercialization across global markets including the United States, Europe and Canada, with an option to expand into further territories. Financial terms were not disclosed. The agreement expands a long-standing partnership that already produced the US commercialization of EPYSQLI (eculizumab-aagh) and OPUVIZ (aflibercept) in Canada.
