Spruce Biosciences announced a new corporate strategy and the acquisition of tralesinidase alfa enzyme replacement therapy (TA-ERT) for Sanfilippo Syndrome Type B (MPS IIIB). Spruce entered an Asset Purchase Agreement under which it acquired an exclusive worldwide license agreement with BioMarin Pharmaceutical for TA-ERT and other enzyme replacement therapy products; the asset had previously been developed by Allievex Corporation, which wound down operations. Spruce anticipates a BLA submission to the FDA in the first half of 2026. Purchase consideration was not disclosed.
