Pharma BD Deal Intelligence
Sanofi and Regeneron expanded their long-standing global antibody alliance on October 1, 2026 to add four next-generation, long-acting immunology antibodies targeting IL-13, an IL-4xIL-13 bispecific, IL-4 and IL-4 receptor alpha. Sanofi pays US$1 billion upfront with up to US$7 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestones, for total potential consideration of up to US$8 billion. The most advanced asset, REGN20423, is a clinical-stage IL-13 monoclonal antibody in Phase 1 for atopic dermatitis; the remaining three antibodies are expected to enter clinical studies in 2027. Regeneron leads discovery and development while Sanofi leads global commercial execution, with development costs and global profits shared equally. The companies also settled prior litigation in connection with the expanded collaboration.
