Sandoz and mAbxience (majority-owned by Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA) signed a collaboration agreement announced September 18, 2026 covering a proposed emicizumab biosimilar candidate referencing Genentech/Roche''s Hemlibra for hemophilia A. mAbxience is responsible for development and manufacturing through its GMP-approved facilities in Spain and Argentina; Sandoz holds exclusive commercialization rights globally excluding Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, which mAbxience retains. Financial terms were not disclosed. Sandoz states the agreement expands its biosimilar pipeline to 40 assets and builds on its earlier biosimilar partnerships with Shanghai Henlius Biotech and Samsung Bioepis; the companies also established a framework to evaluate additional biosimilar partnership opportunities.
