Ofichem signed an agreement to acquire Kinentia Biosciences, a drug-substance CDMO founded in 2007 and based in Rensselaer, New York, creating a transatlantic drug-substance development and manufacturing platform. Completion is subject to CFIUS approval and other customary closing conditions. Kinentia supports pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across early-stage development, preclinical programs and clinical development, and adds expertise in polysaccharides, small peptides and complex new chemical entities. Post-close, Ofichem's drug-substance business will operate across New York, Ter Apel (Netherlands) and Uppsala (Sweden), giving Kinentia customers access to process scale-up, regulatory support and GMP manufacturing at Ofichem's FDA-inspected Ter Apel facility.
