Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals and Novartis entered a global license and collaboration agreement granting Novartis an exclusive worldwide license to research, develop, manufacture and commercialize ARO-SNCA, a preclinical-stage RNAi candidate built on Arrowhead's TRiM platform for subcutaneous administration and CNS delivery, targeting the gene encoding alpha-synuclein for Parkinson's disease and other synucleinopathies. Novartis paid $200 million upfront on closing, with Arrowhead eligible for up to $2 billion in development, regulatory and sales milestones plus tiered royalties on commercial sales up to the low double digits. The agreement closed October 21, 2025.
