iBio in-licensed from AstralBio exclusive rights to a preclinical first-in-class monoclonal antibody targeting Activin E, a genetically validated target implicated in fat-selective weight loss and cardiometabolic disease. The Exclusive License Agreement (Activin E Target) was effective April 21, 2025 and announced April 22, 2025; it was exercised out of a Discovery, Option and License Agreement between the parties dated March 27, 2024 (as amended). The antibody was discovered using iBio's Machine-Learning Antibody Engine. Concurrently iBio amended its existing collaboration with AstralBio to add a fifth cardiometabolic target, for which AstralBio provided iBio a $750,000 credit. Headline upfront, milestone and royalty terms were not disclosed.
