Insilico Medicine and Hygtia Therapeutics entered a global strategic co-development collaboration for ISM8969, an orally available, brain-penetrant NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor discovered using Insilico's generative-AI Chemistry42 platform, with an initial focus on Parkinson's disease and other CNS neuroinflammatory indications. The parties each hold 50% worldwide rights. Insilico receives a US$10 million upfront payment within 30 days of the effective date and is eligible for aggregate upfront and milestone payments of up to US$66 million. Insilico leads the IND submission and Phase 1 study, after which Hygtia assumes responsibility for further clinical development, regulatory filings and commercialization.
