On May 6, 2026, GSK and Suzhou Siran Biotechnology (SiranBio) announced an exclusive worldwide license agreement (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) for SA-030 (SA030), a potentially first-in-disease, long-acting small interfering RNA (siRNA) oligonucleotide targeting activin receptor-like kinase 7 (ALK7) for metabolic and vascular (cardiometabolic) disease, with an obesity/abdominal-fat-reduction angle. GSK pays $55 million upfront and up to ~$1.005 billion in development, regulatory, and commercial milestones, plus tiered royalties. SiranBio will advance SA-030 through completion of Phase 1, after which GSK assumes development, regulatory filings, and commercialization outside the excluded regions.
