Regor entered definitive purchase agreement for Genentech (Roche subsidiary) to acquire Regor's portfolio of next-generation CDK inhibitors including RGT-419B (CDK2-active) for HR+/HER2- advanced/metastatic breast cancer. $850M upfront plus development, regulatory, and commercial milestones. Positions Roche to compete against Ibrance/Verzenio/Kisqali franchise. UPDATE (reviewed 2026-06): The acquisition completed in Q4 2024 (Roche Holdings Inc. 2024 Annual Report; USD 0.9B recognized as intangible assets), and the lead asset RGT-419B was rebranded GDC-4198 (RO7840734) under Genentech. Genentech opened a randomized Phase 1b/2 trial (NCT07100106, start Oct 2025) testing GDC-4198 +/- giredestrant against abemaciclib + giredestrant in the post-CDK4/6 setting, and SABCS 2025 first-in-human data showed single-agent activity (4 confirmed PRs / 24 evaluable patients) with good tolerability - confirming the post-CDK4/6 resistance thesis that drove the deal.
