On 2026-10-05 Alector granted Genentech (Roche Group) a global license to AL050, a preclinical brain-penetrant glucocerebrosidase (GCase) enzyme replacement therapy enabled by Alector's Alector Brain Carrier blood-brain-barrier delivery platform, for Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative indications. Alector receives USD 100M upfront and is eligible for up to USD 1.17B in development, regulatory and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties on net sales. Genentech assumes responsibility for development, regulatory activities, manufacturing and commercialization across all indications. Alector retains ownership of the ABC platform and full rights to apply it across its wholly owned pipeline.
