Enodia Therapeutics acquired Kezar Life Sciences' Sec61-based discovery and development program, comprising preclinical assets and associated datasets from Kezar's Sec61 translocon research. Kezar received a $1 million upfront payment and is eligible for future payments on achievement of certain development, regulatory and commercialization milestones for a potential total of up to $127 million, plus tiered royalties on net sales (rates undisclosed). The transaction covered only the Sec61 program; Kezar retained zetomipzomib, its clinical-stage selective immunoproteasome inhibitor then in evaluation for autoimmune hepatitis. The acquired program consolidated Enodia's Sec61 portfolio ahead of its October 2026 Sec61 research collaboration and license agreement with Pfizer.
