Penta-backed Dr. Max acquired A&D Pharma Group, owner of the Sensiblu and Punkt pharmacy chains in Romania, in a transaction reported at roughly EUR 300-400 million and cleared by Romania's competition council in April 2018. The acquisition made Dr. Max a major pharmacy-retail network in Romania, with the acquired Sensiblu, Arta and Punkt locations subsequently rebranded under the Dr. Max banner.
