On February 26, 2025 Cassava Sciences entered a license agreement with Yale University granting Cassava exclusive worldwide rights, with sublicensing rights, to Yale's interest in patents and other intellectual property relevant to developing and commercializing simufilam for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC)-related epilepsy and other potential indications. Cassava pays a nominal upfront license fee, milestone payments totaling up to $4.5 million, a low-to-mid double digit share of any priority review voucher transfer consideration, and tiered low-to-mid single digit royalties on net sales subject to tiered minimum annual royalties.
