Adalvo acquired Enzene's romiplostim biosimilar programme, referencing Amgen's Nplate, for adult and chronic paediatric immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). The product is already approved in India and will continue to be supplied from Enzene's GMP-approved facilities in Pune, India, while Adalvo pursues global registration and commercialisation. The reference product generated close to USD 1.5 billion in global sales in 2025. The transaction extends Adalvo beyond complex small-molecule pharmaceuticals into biologics and biosimilars; for Enzene it marks the handoff of its biosimilar pipeline to commercial partners and a strategic pivot to a pure contract development and manufacturing business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
