AbbVie and Simcere Zaiming announced an option to license agreement for SIM0500, a humanized trispecific antibody targeting GPRC5D, BCMA and CD3, in Phase 1 development in China and the U.S. for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. SIM0500 was developed independently by Simcere Zaiming on its T-cell engager polyspecific antibody platform, pairing a low-affinity CD3-engaging arm with binding sites for the tumor antigens GPRC5D and BCMA. Simcere Zaiming receives an undisclosed upfront payment and is eligible for option fees and milestone payments of up to $1.055 billion plus tiered royalties on net sales outside Greater China. AbbVie is eligible for tiered royalties on net sales within Greater China.
