AbbVie and Iambic Therapeutics entered a multi-year collaboration to accelerate discovery and development of small molecule therapies with first-in-class and best-in-class potential across immunology, neuroscience and oncology. The collaboration applies Enchant v3, the Iambic next-generation multimodal transformer model trained on over 6,000 molecular properties, which combines biomedical data modalities across the drug discovery process and enables many design hypotheses to be tested in parallel at scale. Iambic receives an undisclosed upfront payment and is eligible for success-based milestone payments plus tiered royalties on net sales of resulting products. The deal supports AI@AbbVie, the enterprise approach AbbVie uses to apply AI across R&D and operations. DATA NOTE: no financial figures were disclosed.
